Title:  LVN

Division/Department:  HIV Risk Reduction Specialist - Bilingual
Temporary Part-Time Position

Duties:  Provide counseling, testing and referral for HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), following state and national guidelines and protocols; conduct community outreach on HIV/STI prevention; and other duties as assigned. Work hours include evening and weekends.

Travel Required:  40-60%

Education & Work Experience:

Required: Bachelor's degree in health, social work, or a related discipline; or high school diploma and four (4) years progressively responsible experience; fluency in English and Spanish; experience working with Microsoft computer applications; strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail; ability to work independently yet part of a team; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with diverse cultures and medically underserved population; excellent customer service skills; and ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Title:  HIPAA Intern - Part-Time; 20 Hours/Week - Temporary Position Lasting One to Two Semesters

Division/Department:  Administration

Duties:  Assists in the development and creation of a HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance program for the FQHC; assists in the writing of a HIPAA policies and procedures manual and related infrastructure; and other duties as assigned.

Education & Work Experience:

Required: An understanding of Title II of HIPAA with emphasis on the security and privacy rules; familiarity with development of policies, excellent verbal and written language skills, and ability to work independently with strategic supervision.

Title:  Breast-Feeding Peer Counselor (Part-Time)

Duties:  Provides training and support to both groups and one-on-one relationships for mothers before and during breast-feeding experience, and other duties as assigned.

Required: High school diploma or equivalency; completion of breast-feeding peer counselor training; must have telephone availability and access to reliable transportation.

Preferred: Must be or have been in the WIC program and have successfully breast-fed at least one baby; ability to communicate with strangers, both in groups and one-on-one situations; must be able to project enthusiasm about breast-feeding and have the desire to share that enthusiasm; minimum of 12 hours a week and a one-year commitment is required.
