Division/Department: HIV Risk Reduction Specialist - Bilingual Temporary Part-Time Position
Duties: Provide counseling, testing and referral for HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), following state and national guidelines and protocols; conduct community outreach on HIV/STI prevention; and other duties as assigned. Work hours include evening and weekends.
Travel Required: 40-60%

Education & Work Experience:
Required: Bachelor's degree in health, social work, or a related discipline; or high school diploma and four (4) years progressively responsible experience; fluency in English and Spanish; experience working with Microsoft computer applications; strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail; ability to work independently yet part of a team; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with diverse cultures and medically underserved population; excellent customer service skills; and ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Preferred: Must be or have been in the WIC program and have successfully breast-fed at least one baby; ability to communicate with strangers, both in groups and one-on-one situations; must be able to project enthusiasm about breast-feeding and have the desire to share that enthusiasm; minimum of 12 hours a week and a one-year commitment is required.
