| Goal$avers The Goal$avers program is a partnership between the United Way of Brazos Valley and Brazos Valley Community Action Agency, Inc. This program empowers low to moderate income participants as they develop financial stability and build savings while pursuing one of the following goals: - Post-secondary education (including associate, bachelor, graduate and trade school degrees) - Homeownership - Starting or capitalizing a small business IDAs incentivize eligible participants by matching $2 for every $1 participants save of earned income towards their asset purchase. That means if a participant saved $1,000 of earned income over the next 6 or more months they would receive a match of $2,000; giving them a total of $3,000 towards their goal! Here’s how it works! Eligible participants open a savings account, develop a savings plan, make monthly deposits, and learn personal finance skills. Once participants have met their savings goal and fulfilled the savings agreement, matched funds will be provided towards the asset goal. Want to know if you’re eligible?
